The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. We have been paying close attention to the leading world-wide organizations who are giving those involved in the travel industry their expert advice on how best to prepare to conduct business under this new paradigm. The World Health Organization, the International Maritime Organization and others have provided both global statements and guidelines that, where applicable, have been incorporated into our operations.
We are very aware of what both we and our guests need to do to ensure that your trip with us is both safe as possible and enjoyable for all. However, just like other travel experiences in the future, there are risks involved that could lead to contracting a communicable disease like COVID-19 despite all of the efforts of our crew and other guests.
We trust you are fully aware of your role in preventing the spread of the disease and you will do your part in ensuring that the chance of passing it amongst others is very much minimized.
We are sure that you will appreciate that notwithstanding all of the steps that we have and will be taking to prevent the spread of the disease, we will not be liable to you in the event that you might become ill as a result of your joining our ship for the dive trip even if any acts of ourselves, Icarus Aviation Ltd, Nautilus Liveaboards or our crew or agents (the “Company”) are subsequently found to be negligent for any reason.
We ask that, by signing below, you acknowledge that you are fully aware of the risks that you might encounter and that you are releasing the Company from any liability for injury or loss of life resulting from contracting a contagious disease during your time with us.
Thank you.
Mike Lever, President
